Paseo
Agentic development environment that orchestrates Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, and Pi from one unified interface across desktop, mobile, web, and CLI, with git worktree support and voice control.
Overview
Paseo is an agentic development environment that orchestrates multiple AI coding agents, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, and Pi, from one interface across desktop, mobile (iOS/Android), web, and CLI clients. Agents run on your own machine with your existing dev environment, tools, and configs, with git-worktree-based isolation for separate agent branches. It adds voice control for hands-free task dictation and a plugin system (TypeScript via npm, Git, or local directory) for extending the workflow. The project is maintained independently by a single developer who has turned down investor funding to keep it neutral and vendor-independent.
The Verdict
Who Should Use Paseo?
Best For
- Developers who want to start agent work on desktop and check in or redirect it from a phone
- Teams using multiple agent providers (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, Pi) who want one control surface
- Privacy-conscious users — no telemetry, tracking, or forced logins by design
Not Ideal For
- Teams needing a battle-tested, widely-adopted tool — this is very new (GitHub repo created September 2026, see badge for current adoption)
- Anyone wanting commercial support or an SLA — it's a single-maintainer, self-funded project
- Users who need vendor-backed roadmap guarantees
What's Great
- True cross-platform parity: desktop, mobile, web, and CLI clients for the same agent session
- Supports 5+ agent providers (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, Pi) from one interface
- Privacy-first: no telemetry, no tracking, no forced account creation
- End-to-end encrypted relay for pairing remote devices; local-first architecture
- Voice control for dictating tasks hands-free
- Free and open-source (Apache 2.0), independently funded with no investor pressure
Watch Out For
- Extremely early: GitHub repo shows minimal activity (0 forks, 0 issues) as of this review (created Sept 29, 2026) despite a larger community presence on Discord/Reddit
- Single-maintainer project — bus-factor risk and no formal support commitment
- No independent third-party reviews found; evaluation relies on official site testimonials
